Our Supporters

Here are just a few of our incredible supporters from across Ireland.

We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication, we could not do it without you!

"Hell & Back" for Sadie"

Dave & Orlagh Flanagan and friends decided to do the Hell & Back 12k in Bray on the 25th June, and raised an impressive €4200 for the NMH Foundation.

According to Dave, "What better way to try raise a few quid for the NMH Foundation then by getting electrocuted, shot and swim through freezing rivers etc."

Sadie was born 8 weeks early, weighing only 2&1/2 pounds.  After 5 longs weeks in the NICU, Sadie was able to go home to her parents, big brother Jake and big sister, Mia.
"We can never thank the staff in Holles Street enough for the care they've shown in saving both Sadie & Orlaghs life and this is just a normal day for the nurses and doctors. We are forever grateful." - Dave & Orlagh Flanagan

Coca Cola Boyne 10K, 1 May

Luke Kelly organised a team of runners to run the Boyne 10K on 1 May and raised €3,000 for the NMH Foundation.

Inspired by Luke's sister Grace and his niece Amber who was a tiny 2lb 7 ounces when she was born in Holles Street and spent 7 weeks in the NICU.

"The staff were amazing throughout everything from the antenatal ward, delivery, ICU and Special Care Nursery. They went above and beyond to help emotionally and physically. Even after being discharged from Unit 8 I had the reassurance of the baby clinic and regular check ups in the first 2 years. Amber was a fighter from the start but without the amazing care she received she wouldn't be here today. The entire family are forever grateful to Holles Street for all they do on a day to day basis."

Luke is not done with his efforts and will now be running a raffle for a signed pair of Conor McGregor's gloves to raise money for our little warriors!

Aleksandra and Damian Kowalski both ran in the Dublin City Marathon in support of the NMH Foundation raising over €1500!

We are  happy to report that they both finished up the 26 miles race in 4 hours and 31 minutes right at the doorstep of Holles Street Maternity Hospital, where Alicia was born 4 years ago.

"Many thanks to everyone for donating so generously! Damian and I are so very grateful. The money went directly to the neonatal intensive care unit in Holles Street, where premature babies are born and saved every day." - Alicia Kowalski

Lachlan's Galway 10K

Kiara & Tony Keary's raised an incredible €5660, with their friends & family in Galway through an 8K run in Galway!

We were able to use these funds toward renovating our Family Room in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  Parents now have a more comfortable private space to unwind in, as they endure their time with a baby in our NICU.

"Lachlan was born at 24 weeks in NMH in Dublin, weighing just 1 lb 10oz. He spent in total 24 weeks in hospital. 14 in Dublin and a further 10 in the NICU in Galway.  Lachlan had many complication and without both hospitals he would not be alive today." - Kiara Keary
